Saunas

A sauna is designed relax your body, boost immune system and improve overall wellbeing. Staying in saunas - rooms with high air temperature and humidity - opens up your pores, causes extensive sweating and improves blood flow. Due to excessive sweating, your body excretes accumulated toxic matter, this way strengthening immune system and releasing stress and tension from the body and mind, even negative thoughts go away. Staying in sauna will improve your physical and mental state. It is recommended for professional and recreational athletes as well as for those not prone to physical activities; some people even use sauna instead of fitness, because benefits are similar: skin tightening and serotonin excretion, additional skin purification and heightened softness and elasticity. From medical point of view, sauna can help you get rid of colds, anxious and depressive states and lower your respiratory-related ailments such as asthma, allergy or bronchitis. However, sauna is not recommended for those who suffer from acute asthmatic problems, heart conditions or for people with high blood pressure.

Special device, halo-generator, infuses dry saturated air enriched with finest rock salt particles, obtaining desired micro-climate full of sodium, chloride, iron, calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc, selenium and lithium. Temperature in salt room is between 18°C and 25°C and humidity is 40-60 %. You enter the room in special, disposable sterile bags on your bear feet. One session in salt room should last between 30 and 40 minutes for adults and 20 minutes for kids. Salt therapy is similar to spending time in the salty sea air. The negatively charged ions in salt improve our health and mood. Inhaling particles may reduce inflammation and mucus in the lungs, improving respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies, bronchitis, sinus congestion and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)... The calming and detoxifying effects of halo-therapy can support the immune, nervous and lymphatic systems. Additional benefits are reduced stress and headaches, increased energy, and better sleep patterns.

After using sauna blood vessels are expanded and need to be shrinked with colder environment in order to improve blood flow. After spending time in sauna and before entering cold room, it is recommended to take a cold water shower so that your body can adjust to lower temperatures. Temperature in cold room is about 4°C. You should stay there for 2 minutes or less, depending on your subjective feeling. You should not use an ice room if you have a history of heart or respiratory problems, problems with your circulation, diabetes or an infection, any other medical condition, or are receiving treatment of any kind, if you have had any alcohol or have a fever. The use of cold temperatures in medicine has a long history, from reducing swelling after an injury to treating abnormal skin cells. Ice therapy has been used as an alternative treatment for a myriad of conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, sleep disorders and depression.

Floatation tub

Floatation therapy or sensory deprivation therapy is a chance for you to completely shut out from the outside world. It is based on silencing of all senses, neuro-relaxation that astronauts use in zero gravity.  Floatation tank is filled with water that keeps you constantly on the surface due to high Epsom salt (MgSO4) concentration. While you're floating, all outside influences on your body and soul are eliminated: sound, light, smell, tactile senses, gravity. The end result is deep mind and body relaxation without feeling for space and time which has positive effects on your overall health.   Short-term sessions of sensory deprivation are described as relaxing and conducive to meditation.   Lower stress level and blood pressure, detoxification, injury healing, better focus, releasing from chronic pain - these are just some of the benefits that floatation therapy provides.

Tepidarium

Tepidarium, located within cold room, is quiet place with warm tile beds, usually made of some solid material, anatomically designed to adjust the spine position, with legs and head at higher position than in a regular bed.  Tepidarium beds are usually heated to 37-39°C, which is close to body temperature. That way body uses minimal energy because it emanates exactly the same amount of heat as it receives and gets warm but not sweaty.  Warmth has pleasant effect on nervous system and brings organism back into balance.  Originally, tepidarium was made to prepare body before getting into hammam (steam bath) but it can also be used just for relaxation, between two sauna sessions.  It is recommended for all ages and time spent on them is not restricted.
